Students have two pathways to complete their final year of study. 

  • Option 1: Students can complete the first two years (Level 4 C 5) at SLIIT in Sri Lanka and transfer to Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) in the UK to complete their final year at the Manchester campus. 

  • Option 2: Students can complete the full three-year program at SLIIT in Sri Lanka. 

Both options lead to the BSc (Hons) Fashion Business C Management degree, awarded by Manchester Metropolitan University. 

To qualify for the top-up year, students must meet the following entry requirements: They must obtain three passes in any stream at the GCE Advanced Level (Local) or three ‘D’ passes in any stream at the Edexcel/Cambridge Advanced Level. Additionally, students must achieve a minimum ‘C’ pass in GCE Ordinary Level English and pass the aptitude test conducted by SLIIT. Students with pending Advanced Level results are also eligible to apply. 

Yes, a lateral entry option is available. If you hold a National Diploma from a recognized university or institute, and your qualification is equivalent to a UK DipHE or HND (Level 5), you may be considered for direct entry into the top-up year. Eligibility will be assessed on a case-by-case basis in accordance with Manchester Metropolitan University’s Recruitment and Admissions Policy.
