Prof. Lakshman Ratnayake
Chancellor
Prof. Lakshman Ratnayake is the Chancellor and Chairman of SLIIT. Prior to this role, he served as Dean and Senior Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. Before joining SLIIT, he was honoured as an Emeritus Professor by the same institution.
Prof. Ratnayake's leadership in the field of engineering is a testament to his dedication and influence. He has served as Vice Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and was President of both the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). His academic positions at the University of Calgary, Canada, and Utah State University, USA, further demonstrate his commitment to the field.
His expertise has led to appointments on several prestigious boards, including the National Transport Commission, National Research Council (NRC), National Science Foundation (NSF), University of Colombo Council, and the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM) Board
Prof. Lalith Gamage
Vice-Chancellor (Chair)
Professor Lalith Gamage, a figure of global academic influence, played a pivotal role in establishing the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) in 1999 as its chief architect. He currently holds the esteemed positions of Vice Chancellor and CEO. His influence extends beyond national borders, as he serves as an Affiliate Professor at the University of British Columbia, Canada. Prof. Gamage’s academic journey includes a degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and a PhD from the University of British Columbia, Canada.
In recognition of his academic leadership, Professor Gamage was honoured with The Outstanding Young Person of the Year (TOYP) award in 2000. His exceptional contributions to the ICT sector were further acknowledged in 2020 when he was awarded the Most Outstanding ICT Contributor of the Year at the National ICT Awards (NBQSA).
Prof. Nimal Rajapakse
Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Provost
Prof. Nimal Rajapakse joined SLIIT in 2019 after serving at four Canadian research universities for over thirty years. He is currently the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost of SLIIT.
An Emeritus Professor at Simon Fraser University, Canada and Honorary Professor at IIT Guwahati, Prof. Rajapakse previously held leadership roles at Carleton University, Simon Fraser University, the University of Manitoba and the University of British Columbia.
Prof. Rajapakse has been ranked among the top 100,000 researchers worldwide across all disciplines by the Elsevier-Stanford Ranking. According to this ranking, he is currently the highest-ranked researcher employed by Sri Lankan universities and higher educational institutes.
Prof. Rahula Attalage
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic)
Prof. Rahula Attalage currently serves as the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at SLIIT. He brings extensive academic and administrative experience, having served in a range of senior roles at the University of Moratuwa. These include Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Senior Professor and Professor in Mechanical Engineering, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Director of Postgraduate Studies in the Faculty of Engineering.
In addition to his academic leadership, Prof. Attalage has contributed to national development initiatives through roles such as Director of the Local and Operational Technical Secretariats for World Bank-funded IRQUE and HETC projects under the Ministry of Higher Education. He has also served as Chairman of the National Institute of Fisheries and Nautical Engineering and as Commissioner of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka.
He has held visiting academic appointments at the Toyohashi University of Technology in Japan and the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand.
Prof. Attalage holds a PhD and a DEA in Energy Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris, France, a Master of Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, and a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa.
Prof. Saman Halgamuge
Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Global Engagement
Prof. Saman Halgamuge is currently a Visiting Professor, SLIIT, and is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the School of Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure Engineering, The University of Melbourne. He was appointed as a visiting professor of the University of Peradeniya, NIFS, and the University of Colombo.
He is listed as a top 2% most cited researcher for AI and Image Processing in the Stanford database. He is a distinguished Visitor of IEEE Computer Society (2024-26) and was a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (2018-21). He supervised 50 PhD students and 16 postdocs on AI and applications in Australia to completion.
Prof Saman Halgamuge, Fellow of IEEE, IET, AAIA and NASSL received the B.Sc. Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and the Dipl.-Ing and Ph.D. degrees in data engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. His research grants include Australian Research Council grants, Biomedical research grants from NHMRC, US DoD and various Foundations on Dementia and MND and industry including Google US and Bosch Germany.

Prof. Samantha Thelijjagoda
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research & International)
Samantha Thelijjagoda is a senior professor in Information Systems Engineering in the Faculty of Computing and currently serving as the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research & International) at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT). He joined SLIIT in 2007 and held positions including Dean, SLIIT Business School, Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, Head, Department of Information Systems Engineering, Head, Department of Information Management, Postgraduate Course Coordinator at SLIIT and Course Leader for Enterprise Applications Development program of Sheffield Hallam University, UK.
He holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems Engineering from Gifu University, Japan. And earned an M.Eng. in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the same university. He received his first degree in Statistics (Special) with First Class Honours from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.
He is an active member of Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) and also a member of the Institute of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers(IEEE), USA. He is the country representative of Technical Committee 8 (TC-8: Information Systems) of International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP). He is also an accredited skills assessor for Skills Certifications of IT professionals in Sri Lanka which is done by Australian Computer Society (ACS). His research interests are Computational models of human language processing (NLP), Human language technology (HLT) such as Machine Translations, Information Extraction etc. and Digital linguistics (Corpus Linguistics) which are associated with the area of Computational Linguistics.
Prof. Nuwan Kodagoda
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Faculty of Computing)
Prof. Nuwan Kodagoda is the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Computing) at SLIIT. He has held a number of academic and leadership roles within the institution, contributing significantly to the development of computing education. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Dean and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Computing and has held multiple headship positions, including Head of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Software Engineering, and Information Technology.
He has also played a key role in academic governance, serving as Chairman of the Curriculum and Academic Quality Committee. With a longstanding affiliation to SLIIT, Prof. Kodagoda has contributed as an academic in various capacities including Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and currently as Assistant Professor.
Prof. Kodagoda holds a PhD from Sheffield Hallam University, an MPhil from the University of Moratuwa, and a BSc Engineering (Hons) degree also from the University of Moratuwa. His academic experience spans over two decades, underpinned by a consistent commitment to teaching, curriculum development, and institutional advancement in the field of computing
Prof. Suren Peter
Dean/SLIIT Business School
Prof Suren Peter is a professor and he is the Dean of the SLIIT Business School, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, Malabe, Sri Lanka.
Prior to joining SLIIT, he was attached to the Department of Industrial Management, University of Kelaniya, having commenced his academic career in 1993. He served two stints as Head, Department of Industrial Management in 2001 and in 2019, served as the Postgraduate Course Coordinator for the Masters programme, Programme Reviewer for Quality Assurance Accreditation Council of the UGC, Conference Chair of the inaugural SCSE international conference, Chief Editor, Editorial Board member and reviewer for international and local journals and conferences. He has served and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of a number of private corporates and Chairs a number of sub committees as well. He has served as a consultant with UNIDO/UNDP and for several local corporates and government bodies. He holds IEEE membership and is certified by the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors.
His research interests are in capital markets, corporate finance, behavioral finance, Privatization and corporate restructuring, portfolio management and learning.
Prof. Pradeep Abeygunawardhana
Dean / Faculty of Computing
Prof. Pradeep Kumara Wijesekara Abeygunawardhana is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Computer Systems Engineering, currently serving as a professor at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT). With a robust educational background, he holds a Ph.D. in Robotics Engineering (2010) and an M.Sc. in Engineering (2006) from Keio University, Yokohama, Japan, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (2003) from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
Prof. Abeygunawardhana’s professional journey encompasses a blend of academic and industry experiences. He is the Director of Technology Diffusion at the Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka, and a professor at SLIIT. Previously, he was the Head of the Computer Systems Engineering Department at SLIIT and a Senior Lecturer, contributing significantly to the institution's academic and research output.
His research interests lie in robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), electronics, and artificial intelligence (AI). Prof. Abeygunawardhana has published extensively in high-impact journals and conferences, showcasing his work on intelligent systems and automation. His scholarly contributions are well-recognized, with a substantial citation record on Google Scholar.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Prof. Abeygunawardhana has played a pivotal role in organizing national and international conferences and competitions, including the National Robotic Competition (Robofest) and the National Coding Competition (Codefest). He has also been actively involved in reviewing for prestigious journals and conferences, further cementing his influence in the field.
Prof. Abeygunawardhana is a Senior Member of the IEEE, a member of the IET, the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL), and Toastmasters International. His excellence in communication and leadership is underscored by awards from Toastmasters International.
His career is marked by numerous accolades, including the Japanese government Monbukagakusho scholarship and multiple research grants from Keio University. His dedication to teaching, project management, and research innovation continues to inspire students and peers alike in the global academic community
Prof. Ayantha Gomes
Dean/Faculty of Engineering
Prof. Ayantha Gomes serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at SLIIT. He is a Chartered Engineer and an academic with expertise in civil and environmental engineering. His areas of specialisation include urban ecosystems, hydrology, urban waterways, headwater streams, environmental impact assessment, and waste management. He also has a research interest in real estate economics, with a focus on condominium apartments.
Prof. Gomes has gained professional and academic experience in Sri Lanka, Japan, and the Hong Kong SAR. His contributions to scientific research have been recognised nationally and internationally, including receiving a Presidential Award for scientific publications.
He holds a PhD from Saitama University in Japan, an MSc from the University of Moratuwa, and a BSc Engineering (Hons) degree, also from the University of Moratuwa.
Dr. Malitha Wijesundara
Dean/Faculty of Humanities and Sciences
Dr. Malitha Wijesundara currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities & Sciences at SLIIT. He has held several senior academic and administrative roles within the institution, including Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Computing, and Dean of Education and Student Experience. He has also served as Head of the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering and Head of IT Services.
With a multidisciplinary background, Dr. Wijesundara brings experience in both academic leadership and technical domains. His contributions span across computing, engineering, education, and institutional development. He holds a PhD from the National University of Singapore (NUS), a BEng (Hons) from the University of Warwick, and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Prof. Colin N. Peiris
Senior Professor | Dean – Academic Development and Quality Assurance Faculty of Humanities & Sciences | Department of Applied Sciences
Prof. Colin N. Peiris currently serves as the Dean of Academic Development and Quality Assurance at SLIIT. He is an Emeritus Professor of the University of Peradeniya, with a distinguished academic career spanning over four decades. During his 35 years at the University of Peradeniya, he held several key positions, including Senior Professor, Head of Department, Director of the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, and Chairman of the Teaching Methodology Unit.
He holds a PhD and MSc from Pennsylvania State University, along with a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Peradeniya. He has also received advanced training in quality assurance and university teaching methodologies from leading institutions in the UK and France. In recognition of his significant national and international contributions to quality assurance in higher education, Sabaragamuwa University awarded him a Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa).
Prof. Peiris has played a leading role in advancing quality assurance in higher education in Sri Lanka. He served as founding Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Council (UGC) and was the founding Vice-Chancellor of Horizon Campus. He was invited to the Board of Directors of Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) also served in the Board of Directors of International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), and his current positions held in the quality assurance include council membership at the Asia Pacific Quality Register Council (APQR), receiving several awards for excellence in quality assurance. He continues to serve as a Consultant and Leader in academic quality enhancement locally and globally.
Prof. Lalith De Silva
Head/School of Architecture
Professor Lalith De Silva is a leading academic and practitioner in the field of architecture and built environment, with a distinguished career spanning over four decades. Currently, Professor De Silva serves as the Head and Professor of the School of Architecture at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT).
He holds a Master of Construction Management from James Cook University, Australia, and began his professional journey at Development Consultants, a modernist architectural firm of historical significance in Colombo. He spent his formative academic years at the University of Moratuwa, where he later became a long-serving professor in the Department of Building Economics.
He is also the Chair of RIBA Members Sri Lanka, and Founding Director of Habitat Chartered Architects & Engineers, established in 1985. He continues to be affiliated with the University of Moratuwa as Emeritus Professor, having served from 1990 to 2020. His previous leadership roles include Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Moratuwa (2014–2019), Head of the Department of Building Economics (2000–2005), and Acting Chancellor of the University (2016). He was President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (2003–2005) and Vice President of the Organization of Professional Associations (2007–2008).
Professor De Silva’s work reflects a deep commitment to urbanization and public-oriented architecture. His efforts have significantly influenced architectural education and professional practice in Sri Lanka, advocating for the integration of design with broader societal needs. Through teaching, institutional leadership, and professional contributions, he remains a key figure in shaping the next generation of architects and the architectural landscape of the country.
Dr. Gobithas Dharmarajah
Acting Dean Academic, SLIIT Northern Uni
Dr. Gobithas Tharmarajah is an academic, researcher, and structural engineering consultant with a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Queen's University Belfast, UK. He currently serves as a Senior Lecturer and Associate Dean at the Faculty of Engineering, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), and as Dean Academic/CEO of SLIIT Northern Uni. His expertise includes sustainable construction materials, advanced composites, and innovative structural solutions with a strong focus on eco-friendly technologies. Dr. Tharmarajah has supervised over 80 undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and secured prestigious research grants, including those from the National Research Council (NRC) and SLIIT.
His research has led to the development of sustainable building materials, such as rice husk-based cement blocks and natural fiber-reinforced concrete, promoting environmentally friendly construction practices. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers and contributed 4 book chapters. In the industry, he served as Chief Technology Officer at MVIVO (Pvt) Ltd., leading the design and implementation of prefabricated and modular cold-formed steel residential buildings. As a postdoctoral researcher at Athlone Institute of Technology, Ireland, he optimized underground reinforced concrete structures using Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) bars, reducing costs by 15–25% while enhancing durability. His consultancy portfolio includes seismic load design for the Bandaranaike International Airport and structural integrity assessments for commercial buildings.

Chief Operating Officer
Chaminda Lewke Bandara, Chief Operating Officer at SLIIT, is a seasoned IT leader with over 25 years of experience, including nearly two decades in senior management. His career spans multinational business conglomerates, higher education institutions, and key industries across Sri Lanka, the Middle East, and the United States. Holding an MBA in Information Technology and a BSc Eng. (Hons) degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Mr. Lewke Bandara also possesses globally recognized IT certifications. His expertise lies in leveraging technology to drive strategic growth, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen Information security across diverse business environments.
He specializes in IT infrastructure architecture, service management, digital transformation, and governance. His contributions include spearheading SAP implementations, cloud solutions, virtualization, and cybersecurity initiatives. In the academic sector, he has played a pivotal role in education technology and institutional administration, supporting growth through integrated IT solutions. Passionate about digital transformation and technology-driven development, Mr. Lewke Bandara continues to lead innovations that improve efficiency and governance within both corporate and academic landscapes.
Mr. Uditha Gamage
Chief Student Services and Outreach Officer
Uditha Gamage is an Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering graduate from the University of Moratuwa and holds an MBA in Information Technology from the same institution. With over 21 years of experience in IT Services Management, Marketing, and Student Services, he has specialized in computer networking, cyber security, and student enrollment. A Cisco Certified Instructor Trainer and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Uditha began his career as a Systems Engineer at the Computing Services Division at SLIIT.
He has since held several senior roles including Head of IT Services, Head of Marketing, Director of Development and Engineering Services, and Director of Student Services and Outreach. He currently serves as the Chief Student Services and Outreach Officer at SLIIT.
Mr. Niraj Muthukuda
Chief Financial and Commercial Officer
Niraj serves as the Chief Financial and Commercial Officer of the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), leading the financial strategy and operations across the organization. His responsibilities encompass financial planning, business performance management, investment appraisals, treasury operations, financial governance, and reporting. In addition, he is responsible for the administrative and financial operations of all SLIIT centers and campuses. Furthermore, he overlooks the International marketing of SLIIT.
Before joining SLIIT, Niraj served as the Chief Financial Officer at Novo Cinemas and Gulf Films, the largest cinema chain and movie distributor in the Middle East. Prior to that, he built a strong foundation in investment banking, holding positions at esteemed firms such as The First Investor and Ernst & Young (Middle East). With over 20 years of experience, he brings deep expertise in financial strategy, corporate advisory, and investment banking.
Niraj is a CFA Charter holder of CFA Institute (USA) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). He holds a Master’s in Financial Economics from the University of Colombo, along with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the same institution. Additionally, he has successfully completed the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) program and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
Mr. Chanaka Kalansuriya
Senior Director Administration
Chanaka D. Kalansuriya is the Senior Director – Administration at SLIIT, overseeing finance, supply chain, and organizational management functions. With extensive experience in administration, operational efficiency, policy implementation, and strategic planning, he brings a comprehensive understanding of corporate governance and institutional management. His career spans senior roles at DFCC Bank and IBM, where he contributed to operational excellence and business development. He also gained valuable insights into financial management and corporate strategy during his tenure at Ernst & Young.
At SLIIT, he has played a key role in enhancing administrative functions, streamlining procurement, and introducing initiatives that improve institutional performance and long-term sustainability. His leadership extends across human resources, marketing, and corporate policy development. Chanaka holds an MBA and is a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Financial Managers (FIPFM), reflecting his commitment to continuous professional growth and excellence in administration.
Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Priyantha Senaratne
Director, Campus Safety & Security & Major Projects
Major General (Retd) Priyantha Senaratne enlisted in the Sri Lanka Army on 4th August 1986 and was commissioned into the elite Commando Regiment. He retired as a Major General on 12th November 2020, concluding over 34 years of distinguished service. His military career included key command, operational, training, and staff roles, such as General Officer Commanding of the 53 Division, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Military Academy, and several directorial positions at Army Headquarters. He was a pivotal figure in counterterrorism operations and also served in the United Nations Mission in Haiti as Deputy Chief of Civil-Military Coordination.
Major General Senaratne is a decorated officer, having received the Rana Sura Padakkama gallantry award on four occasions and the Desha Puthra Sammanaya, among a total of 15 military decorations. He holds an MSc in Disaster Analysis, Management and Mitigation from the University of Colombo, and a PGD in Senior Level Defence Management from the University of Indore, India. He has also received international military training, including at the U.S. Army Infantry School. An accomplished skydiver, he led the Army’s Parachuting and Kayaking Committees. He is also a proud alumnus of St. Joseph Vaz College, becoming its first Major General.
Mr Suran Fernando
Director, Facilities Management
Suran Fernando serves as the Director of Facilities Management at SLIIT, overseeing the institute’s facilities management operations and infrastructure development projects. With over 23 years of industry experience, he has played a pivotal role in engineering design, building maintenance, project management, and facilities management across multiple sectors.
He holds a BSc (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa (2002) and is a Chartered Engineer specializing in Building Services Engineering. He is also a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL). He was also awarded Green Associate Professional status in 2015 by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka (GBCSL).
Before joining SLIIT, Suran gained extensive industry experience working with leading organizations such as Jinasena Engineering Technologies, Merbok MDF Lanka, and IFS R&D International.
Beyond his professional career, Suran has been actively involved with the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL), the apex professional body for engineering in Sri Lanka, serving as a Council Member since 2018. He currently holds the position of Honorary Secretary of IESL and previously chaired the Building Services Engineering Sectional Committee (BSESC) during the 2018–2019 sessions. Additionally, he serves as the Editor of the IESL Digital Newsletter (SLEN).
Since 2022, Suran has been a Council Member of the Engineering Council of Sri Lanka (ECSL), the national body responsible for maintaining professional standards and ethics across all categories of engineering practitioners. He also contributes as a Forum Member of the Organization of Professional Associations (OPA), furthering his dedication to the advancement of the profession.
With a strong passion for engineering excellence, innovation, and sustainable development, Suran continues to make a lasting impact on the industry, ensuring the growth, efficiency, and modernization of infrastructure and facilities at SLIIT.
Ms. Roshani Madarasinghe
Director, Marketing
Roshani Madarasinghe is the Director of Marketing at SLIIT, with over 17 years of extensive experience spanning the Education and IT sectors. She holds a Business Degree from Staffordshire University with a specialization in Project Management and holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Bedfordshire, UK.

Ranmini Unantenne is the Director - Academic Affairs and Student Services at SLIIT Malabe Campus. She oversees a wide array of functions including student services, academic affairs, sports, career guidance, and counseling.
A graduate of the University of Peradeniya’s Faculty of Arts, she also holds a Master of Science degree from the same university. Ranmini brings over 15 years of professional experience, having served in the software services, water and sanitation development, and higher education sectors. She joined SLIIT in 2016 as Manager – Career Guidance, gradually expanding her portfolio through demonstrated leadership and a student-centered approach.

Kenneth Fleming is a distinguished working education professional with extensive expertise in international education and transnational higher education (TNE). With postgraduate qualifications from the University of Leicester and Northumbria University in England, he gained invaluable experience as both an international student and a working professional in the UK. This global perspective laid the foundation for his impactful career in Sri Lanka, where he has been a driving force in the education sector since 2012, specializing in international student recruitment and TNE operations.
In 2015, Kenneth was appointed to lead the newly established TNE unit at SLIIT, where he managed collaborations with prestigious global institutions, including Curtin University (Australia), Sheffield Hallam University (UK), and Liverpool John Moores University (UK) managing a portfolio of over 12+ foreign degree program completion pathways in Sri Lanka.

Roshan holds an MSc in Enterprise Application Development (Merit) from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, BSc (Hons) in Information Technology from SLIIT and IT certification from University of Colombo. Kumudu Gurugaloda is a highly experienced Senior Manager – System and Infrastructure Service Division, specializing in IT infrastructure management, system administration, and enterprise technology solutions. With over 14 years of experience in the IT industry, he has played a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of total IT infrastructure and enterprise systems in SLIIT for supporting Academic Activities.
In his current role, Kumudu oversees systems and server Infrastructure, network operations, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and IT service management, ensuring seamless infrastructure performance and business continuity. He has a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance IT environments that support empowering teaching and learning platforms and organization's digital education and transformation goals.
Before joining SLIIT Kumudu held key positions in IT infrastructure management, systems consultant, senior systems engineering, and enterprise solutions development at Tokyo cement company Lanka PLC, Zillione Technologies (Pvt) Ltd and MATRIX in MAS Holdings , where he led large-scale infrastructure deployments and IT modernization projects.

Chamini Weerakkody, Senior Manager in Professional Development Programs, has over 13 years of experience in the education sector. After completing her advanced-level studies in the commerce stream at Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo, she earned a BSc in Business Administration (Special Degree) from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura in 2010 and went on to complete an MBA in Innovation Management at Coventry University in the United Kingdom in 2011.

Mr. Lakmal currently holds the position of Manager Administration - SLIIT Matara Center. Current portfolio spans general administration, student services & affairs, support services maintenance, regional branding / marketing, corporate strategy, public relations, customer service & relations and business continuity management of the center. He joined SLIIT in 2015 as the Manager Administration of Matara center, counts overall 18 years of multi-disciplinary experience in the telecommunication, advertising, and education industries, in the field of Sales, Marketing, Business Development and General Administration. He counts 15 years of sole experience in education industry alone under the different prestigious and esteemed educational bodies in Sri Lanka. Harshani Wahalathanthrige is a dedicated facilities management professional with over 12 years of experience, currently serving as Manager – Facilities at SLIIT Campus. She oversees the campus’s soft services, including housekeeping, landscaping, waste management, and other key support functions, ensuring a well-maintained and efficient learning environment.
She holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Facilities Management from the University of Moratuwa (2010).
