SLIIT provides extensive support for researchers, including internal research grants, external funding assistance, ethics review processes, and research training workshops to enhance research output and quality. Library & Online Resources

SLIIT researchers have access to extensive physical and digital resources, including academic journals, research databases, industry standards, e-books, and reference materials. These comprehensive collections support advanced research, literature reviews, and academic publishing across all faculties and disciplines

Research Centers, Labs & Equipment

Each SLIIT faculty houses state-of-the-art laboratories tailored to their discipline—including Computing, Engineering, Sciences, Business, Architecture, and Law. These facilities are regularly upgraded with the latest equipment, software, and analytical tools, fostering innovation and hands-on research experiences that support both academic inquiry and industry collaboration.

Complete and submit the required proposal documents to the PVC (R&I) Office by the specified deadline. Your proposal will be reviewed by independent reviewers before Senate and MCC approval. This is applicat to SLIIT Academics only.

SLIIT Academic can currently receive up to LKR 500,000 per year. For MPhil/PhD research students, this can increase to LKR 800,000 with certain conditions.

Yes. Reimbursement is available based on the indexing of the journal (Scopus Top 10%, Q1, Q2, etc.) and subject to approval.

Yes. Travel, registration, and accommodation expenses can be partially covered for presenting accepted full papers at eligible national and international conferences.
