The event provided students and astronomy enthusiasts with practical experience in telescope operation, celestial navigation, and stargazing techniques. Under the expert guidance of guest speaker Mr. Thamara Banneheka- an Electronic Engineering undergraduate at SLIIT and current Chair of Council Of Chapters at SEDS Sri Lankaattendees explored key principles of telescope optics and observed planets, stars, and constellations in real time. Targeting SLIIT undergraduates and SEDS members, the session aimed to create a deeper interest in astronomy, promote observational space science, and encourage active participation in SEDS SLIIT initiatives. With live demonstrations, guided tutorials, and an enthusiastic crowd, the event was a success, marking another step in cultivating curiosity and engagement in space sciences.
