Empowering Young Minds – Revamping the Library at Rahula Balika Vidyalaya, Malabe

CSR Initiative in Organizing a Medical Campaign: Arogya

The CSR Project "Arogya"- Medical Campaign was successfully held at the Opatha Base Hospital, Galle on 01st October 2024. This project was organized by second-year, second-semester students of the SLIIT Business School as part of their ‘Leadership & Teamwork’ module to improve the well-being of the rural community in the Opatha area. 

Less Ocean Trash & More Marine Life

The Turtle Conservation CSR Project, conducted by second-year students of the SLIIT Business School (SBS) as part of their 'Leadership and Teamwork' module, was dedicated to protecting endangered sea turtle populations, restoring their habitats, and fostering sustainability within marine ecosystems. Recognizing the critical role of turtles in ocean health, the project tackled key threats such as habitat degradation while raising public awareness about the importance of marine conservation.
 
 

Athata Atha

The second-year students from the SLIIT Business School undertook a significant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative "Athata Atha" as part of their Leadership & Teamwork module in Semester 2 on 2nd October 2024. This initiative focused on the renovation and enhancement of a Library at 'Guruwala Primary School', Dompe, alongside a donation drive for plants.

CSR Initiative in Zero-hunger Project: “Bloom”

“Bloom” the zero-hunger project is a CSR project organized by the second-year, second-semester students of the SLIIT Business School. The project “Bloom” was held on 15th September 2024 at Buddhist Lady’s Child Development Center, Gampaha.

The winning team from the 2024 orientation group of the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences brightened lives with their CSR project “Brighter Futures” at the Hikkaduwa Certified School on July 6, 2024.
With heartfelt support from the faculty, the school’s principal and staff, and Ms. Rasika U.I Dissanayake, Commissioner of the Department of Social Welfare, Probation, and Childcare Services, our students donated sports equipment and provided meals and snacks.

Orientation Students from the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences 2024, Lead Successful CSR Initiative at Bollegalla Maha Vidyalaya

The Orientation Students from the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences,2024, successfully conducted a CSR project at Bollegalla Maha Vidyalaya in the Kelaniya Educational Division. The primary objective was to enrich the community by donating a variety of educational books, novels, and storybooks to the school library.

Faculty of Humanities and Sciences successfully completed its first CSR project by donating over 5,000 books & stationery items, and computer accessories to Amanawala Gamini Maha Vidyalaya in Kegalle District with the aim of inspiring & facilitating the next generation with knowledge and skills.

Community Service Project by FBSC

The Faculty of Business Studentsa Community 2017/18 of SLIIT, has successfully completed the Step of Love Community Service Project as their final event, on the 19th of March 2018. They provided the much-needed school items to the students, staff & parents of Thalpawila Gemunu Primary School Matara.
