Welcome to SLIIT
Founded in 1999 to bridge Sri Lanka’s IT talent gap at the time, SLIIT launched its first campus in Colombo with 400 students, offering IT programs. Over time, SLIIT expanded its footprint, developing a network of campuses and centres in Malabe, Matara, Kandy, Kurunegala, and Jaffna with modern infrastructure. SLIIT diversified its academic offerings to include Engineering, Business, Architecture, Humanities and Sciences, and Hospitality Management, now providing over 100 local and foreign programs.
SLIIT's robust industry partnerships provide students with the essential skills and hands-on experience to excel in the workforce, ensuring they graduate industry-ready. Ranked joint 3rd in Sri Lanka in the prestigious 2025 Times Higher Education World University Ranking, SLIIT remains the leading non-state tertiary education provider, proudly serving a student community of over 25,000.

OBJECTIVES
