Less Ocean Trash & More Marine Life

The Turtle Conservation CSR Project, conducted by second-year students of the SLIIT Business School (SBS) as part of their 'Leadership and Teamwork' module, was dedicated to protecting endangered sea turtle populations, restoring their habitats, and fostering sustainability within marine ecosystems. Recognizing the critical role of turtles in ocean health, the project tackled key threats such as habitat degradation while raising public awareness about the importance of marine conservation.

Through this initiative, students advanced their understanding of environmental conservation and gained practical experience in teamwork and community engagement, enhancing both their skills and knowledge. The project actively supported Sustainable Development Goal 14; Life Below Water by focusing on conserving marine ecosystems, the protection of species, and promoting sustainable ocean practices. By engaging in this effort, the students contributed meaningfully to preserving marine biodiversity and the long-term health of the ocean.
