The delegates were keen to engage with local researchers at SLIIT and learn about our work in general, the local academic network, as well as for any relevant projects for possible collaborations. The research link was established by Prof. Lalith Gamage – Vice-Chancellor of SLIIT and this meeting was graced by Prof. Lakshman Ratnayake – Chancellor of SLIIT, Prof. Nimal Rajapakse – Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Provost of SLIIT, Prof. Colin Peiris – Director/Academic Development and Quality Assurance and Professor at SLIIT Faculty of Humanities and Sciences and Prof. Sriyani Peiris – Head, Department of Applied Sciences at SLIIT Faculty of Humanities and Sciences.
