SLIIT and University of Colombo Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance Meditation Research Through Technology

SLIIT entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Colombo on 11th February 2026. Through this collaboration, SLIIT will work closely with the Centre for Meditation Research (CMR), attached to the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo.

While CMR explores the scientific effects of meditation through multidisciplinary research, SLIIT, as a leading IT-focused institution, contributes its expertise in advanced information technology research and innovation.
The partnership aims to integrate scientific meditation research with technological innovation, enabling knowledge sharing, exchange of expertise, and joint funding initiatives to further advance meditation science through technology-driven solutions.
