English help desk - SLIIT's English Support Help Desk caters to both International and Local Students, providing invaluable assistance in enhancing their English proficiency. This dedicated service offers a supportive environment where students can refine their language skills through tailored guidance, resources, and practice opportunities. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning atmosphere, SLIIT empowers students to communicate effectively, build confidence, and excel academically and professionally in an English-speaking context.

Often referred to as a math tutoring center the Math Help Desk provides a variety of support services aimed at helping students succeed in their mathematics related courses by providing tutoring, workshops, exam preparation, providing student material, online and peer support via walk-in and appointment-based options. Subject Specific help desks are offered by the respective faculty to improve on a specific module or skills. Examples are Programming Help Desk and Accounting Help Desk.

Students have the freedom to walk into any designated student services areas and faculty meeting points to discuss any concerns they have. This is not limited to study support.

Apart from help desks, Lecturers-in-charge will conduct on-demand revision sessions, or the respective faculty student communities will organize on-demand revision sessions taught by peers based on the requirements. Students have the option to study as individuals as well as groups with peer-support. SLIIT Library provides access to past papers where students can test their knowledge.
