SLIIT Launches Research Document Archive to Boost Global Research Visibility
SLIIT Library is proud to announce the successful launch of the SLIIT Research Document Archive (RDA).
The event was graced by the Chancellor, Prof. Lakshman Ratnayake; Senior Deputy Vice - Chancellor & Provost, Prof. Nimal Rajapakse; Chief Operating Officer, Mr Chaminda Bandara; and Deans, Associate Deans, and Heads of Departments, with the official launch carried out by the Chancellor and the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor of SLIIT.
The SLIIT RDA marks a significant milestone in strengthening the institution’s research ecosystem. It serves as a central platform to enhance the visibility, accessibility, and global reach of SLIIT research outputs, while actively supporting open access initiatives.
The upgraded repository introduces several key features, including metadata harvesting for global discoverability, author profiles that connect research contributions, structured journal management, and a streamlined article submission and review process.
SLIIT Library also extends its sincere appreciation to Mr Gayan Weilgama, Senior System Engineer, for his unwavering support, timely guidance, and valuable contributions, which played a pivotal role in the successful development and launch of this platform.
Through this initiative, SLIIT continues to foster knowledge sharing, research impact, and academic excellence.
