The visit featured an engaging and insightful student session titled “Decision Theory in Sports: How Mathematics Decided World Cup Matches.” Students had the opportunity to explore how mathematical modelling, probability, and data analytics influence real-time decision-making in cricket and other sports — including the famous system that has shaped outcomes in international matches such as the ICC Cricket World Cup.
