Project Feed the Future - අස්වැන්න
Project “අස්වැන්න” was a pioneering agricultural initiative by the Leo Club of SLIIT,launched on 4th January 2024 to combat hunger and empower the community.
The club cultivated a fallow one-acre field in Korothota with the traditional Rathdel rice variety. Over three months, members handled field preparation, planting, fertilizing, and harvesting. Despite challenges, they successfully yielded 300 kg of rice. This meaningful project united members in service and marked a historic milestone in Leo history.
