Looking back, choosing to join SLIIT stands out as one of the most pivotal and rewarding decisions of my life. It was more than just an academic journey; it was a transformative experience that shaped me both professionally and personally.

The well-structured course modules, the way they were delivered by exceptional lecturers, and the real-world relevance of assignments all played a crucial role in bridging theory with practice. Each lesson felt purposeful, and each challenge brought me closer to understanding the dynamics of the real business world.

Advice to Current Students

Life is short, and throughout mine, my driving force has been a simple yet powerful goal: to explore my fullest potential and make my parents proud. That purpose has fuelled every achievement I've reached even to this day.

Challenge yourself. You’ll be amazed at what you're capable of once you step outside your comfort zone. “Try and try, one day you can fly” isn’t just a saying: it’s a reality. You may fail, and that’s okay. Failure isn’t the end; it’s a wake-up call pushing you toward your next big step.

Don’t limit yourself to theory alone, put what you learn into practice. Get involved in extracurricular activities during your university life; trust me, these experiences are invaluable when you step into the real business world. Regardless of your degree, its common sense, adaptability, and real-world experience that will make you shine.

I reached a senior level in my career in Sri Lanka, but when I moved to a new country, I had to start over from scratch. It was humbling; but also empowering. Be ready to start again if life calls for it and put on your fastest running shoes to chase progress with everything you’ve got.

If you have the will, nothing is impossible. Determination can move mountains; and your journey is just getting started.
