Ms. Uthpala Samarakoon is a Senior Lecturer in Information Technology, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, Malabe, Sri Lanka. Also she is currently serving as the IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) coordinator, Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Computing.

Ms. Samarakoon joined SLIIT in 2006 as an instructor and served as Accreditation Liaison/Faculty of Computing for year 2016.

Ms. Samarakoon has her research interest in ELearning, HCI and their applications, Social Science, IT Education and Knowledge Management.
