CAREER SUMMARY
Lakshman Alles is a Professor in the Faculty of Business. Prior to joining SLIIT, he was an Associate Professor and a former Head of the Department of Banking and Finance at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. He received his MBA and Ph.D. degrees in Finance from Washington State University, USA. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Sri Lanka, and a Fellow of FINSIA, the Securities Institute of Australia. He has held visiting appointments from time to time, at the International Monetary Fund, Washington D.C. and at Universities in Canada, USA, Ireland and Sri Lanka. He has served as a consultant to the Asian Development Bank and several Australian government agencies.
He has over forty publications to his credit in numerous refereed academic and industry journals.
