Iftar

SLIIT Iftar is a communal Muslim gathering where students and staff break their fast together during Ramadan. The event fosters unity, spiritual reflection, and cultural connection, combining heartfelt prayers with shared meals in a warm, inclusive atmosphere.

The SLIIT Iftar, hosted by the Muslim Student Society, brings the university community together each Ramadan to break the fast in harmony. Through shared prayers, traditional cuisine, and thoughtful conversation, the event promotes understanding, religious observance, and friendship across diverse backgrounds, celebrating faith and togetherness at its heart.

The event is open to all SLIIT students, faculty, staff, and invited guests—everyone is welcome to join in the spirit of Ramadan. 

Yes, attendees are asked to register in advance through the Muslim Student Society’s official channels to help with meal planning and seating arrangements. 

Attendees are respectfully encouraged to dress in modest and appropriate attire, reflecting the cultural and religious significance of the event.
