This visit offered students the opportunity to explore the full operational process of a concrete batching plant, including material selection, mixing procedures, and quality control systems. It was a highly valuable experience that complemented the workshop by enhancing students’ practical understanding of modern concrete production and its real-world applications in the construction industry.

The Civil Engineering Society of SLIIT, together with the Department of Civil Engineering and in collaboration with Tokyo Cement Group, organized an insightful visit to the Tokyo Supermix batching plant as part of the Concrete Technology Workshop.
