CAREER SUMMARY

Harithra Chandrasehar is a Clinical Psychologist licensed by the Sri Lanka Medical Council. She completed her Bachelor's degree (Hons.) in Psychology at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (USA) and her Master of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology at the Faculty of Graduate Studies in the University of Colombo. Harithra has worked extensively within the Development Sector, collaborating with numerous non-governmental organizations to provide mental health and psychosocial support services to individuals and communities affected by trauma, including the civil war and other personal experiences of violence. Her professional background includes supervising counsellors delivering psychological support across Sri Lanka, designing interventions, and managing programs to address mental health needs.

In addition to her clinical work, Harithra has over seven years of experience as a lecturer in Psychology, having taught at both state and non-state universities in Sri Lanka. She is also committed to advocacy and inclusion, volunteering her services to organizations that support individuals who identify as LGBTIQ. Her diverse academic and professional experience reflects a deep commitment to mental health, education, and social justice.
