Awardees are nominated by the SLIIT Physical Education & Sports Unit based on their performance, participation, and achievements in recognized sports events. Final selections are reviewed and approved by the organizing committee.

Awards include Colours, Merit Awards, Special Recognitions, and team trophies for outstanding group achievements.

Yes, Colours Night is a formal event. Male attendees are expected to wear formal attire, while female attendees traditionally wear sarees. A specific colour theme is announced each year, and all guests and awardees are encouraged to dress accordingly to uphold the elegance and unity of the event.
