Ms. Shashitha Jayakody

Senior Lecturer

CAREER SUMMARY

    Ms. Shashitha Jayakody is a lecturer in Accounting and Finance. She joined SLIIT Business School in April 2015 as an Assistant Lecturer. She holds a BA (Hons) in Finance, Accounting & Management and a MA in Finance and Investment (with Distinction) from University of Nottingham. Prior to academia, Ms. Shashitha worked as an equity research analyst at Capital Trust Securities (Pvt) Ltd for three years.

    Her main research interests lie in the fields of corporate finance and financial markets. She teaches Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Financial Reporting, Accounting Information Systems and Contemporary Issues in Accounting and Finance. She was the former Senior Treasurer of Faculty of Business Students' Community (October 2015 - March 2018) and she also served as the Second Year Students Coordinator from January 2017 to December 2018.
