RESEARCH INTERESTS AND MEMBERSHIP

Research Interests

    • My current research interests include:

    - Application of optimization techniques for challenging problems in various application domains.

    - Wireless Communications Systems and Networks with a particular emphasis on techniques for radio resource management (RRM) and algorithm designs, including global methods, fast local methods, and distributed methods.

    - Signal processing with a strong emphasis on beamformer design for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) networks.

    - New wireless access technologies, e.g., 60 GHz wireless networks, and associated RRM problems, such as clients association, etc.

    - Privacy and security with a strong emphasis on investigating and developing ecient methods that guarantee privacy and security for problem solution methods. Privacy security quanti cation methods are also being investigated. The techniques we are examining are di erent from the classical cryptographic variants.
Smart grids: Exploring challenging open problems.

    - The core theoretical background required for carrying out successful research in the elds mentioned above is formed by: Optimization Theory, Communication Theory Information Theory, and Statistical Signal Processing.
